"Logan knocked it out of the park with the detail and ceramic job on my triple black metallic F350. Looks better today than the day I brought it home from the dealer! I highly recommend Don of Detail's services for your vehicles."

"This was my first time getting my motorcycle detailed by Logan. He did an amazing job! I had dust caked on my bike from it being stored away for the winter season, and it was sparkly new by the time he was done. He also noticed I needed new tires and was kind enough to let me know. He truly takes the time to go over every detail. Professional, diligent, and friendly."

"Don of Detail provides truly excellent service. Logan has a passion for cars and it shows in his work. He made my 2019 Camry just about brand new, and that is with me having 2 big dogs and several years of built up dirt inside. He has exceptional attention to detail and gave me so much information about caring for my car. Highly recommend!"

Interior Detail, Toyota Camry

"Logan is very professional and knowledgeable. He does things right and is very particular with making things look the very best. There are a lot of mobile detailers out there, but he knows a lot more particulars and proper material maintenance that comes with a professional detail and not just a standard cleaning. He makes sure things are done right the first time!"

What We Correct

What can paint correction fix in Reno?

Correction removes defects that sit in the clear coat. Anything that has cut through to the color underneath is a body shop job, and we will tell you which one you have before quoting.

Swirl Marks

The spiderweb haze under direct sun. Almost always from automatic washes and dry wiping.

Oxidation

Chalky, faded panels from years of high-altitude UV with no protection.

Water Spots

Mineral etching from sprinklers and hard water, common right across the valley.

Holograms

Buffer trails left by a previous shop that rushed the polishing stage.

Light Scratches

Anything your fingernail does not catch on. Deeper than that needs paint, not polish.

Etching

Bird droppings and tree sap that burned into the clear coat before they were removed.

Correction is quoted per vehicle, because the number of polishing stages depends entirely on how much damage is in the paint. Most correction jobs start from a full interior and exterior car detail, and most clients pair the correction with a ceramic coating so the restored finish stays that way.

The Comparison

Car wash damage or paint correction in Reno?

Most of the swirl marks we correct in Reno came out of a tunnel wash. Here is what happens in there, and what it actually takes to undo it.

The Automatic Car Wash

Eight minutes, and the damage is already done.

What it leavesSwirls
Every visitAdds more
  • Spinning brushes carry grit from the car before yours
  • Recycled water drags contaminants back across the panel
  • Millions of micro-scratches in a single pass
  • Reads as a dull spiderweb haze in direct sun
  • Damage compounds with every wash
  • No soap or wax reverses it
What We Do

Paint Correction

Hours of machine polishing, measured the whole way.

What it doesRemoves
DoneOnce
  • Clear coat measured with an electronic gauge first
  • Test spots find the least aggressive method that works
  • Machine polishing levels the defect instead of filling it
  • Swirls, holograms, and oxidation gone for good
  • Hand wash only afterwards, no tunnel
  • The correct base for a ceramic coating

Correction is only worth doing if the washing changes afterwards, so we show you how to wash it before we pack up. A ceramic coating is the most reliable way to protect the work.

Why It Matters

Why Reno cars need paint correction.

The Reno-Sparks valley is hard on paint. Wind-carried abrasive dust, hard water spotting from sprinklers, and automatic tunnel washes with dirty brushes put millions of micro-scratches into a clear coat in seconds. Under direct sun that reads as a dull, spiderwebbed haze.

Correction is a craft, not an add-on. It takes an understanding of clear coat density, heat management, and the right abrasive for the paint in front of you. European clear coats behave nothing like softer Japanese paints under the same pad. We measure thickness with an electronic gauge and run test spots first, so we remove the minimum material needed to level the defect and nothing more.

We work across Reno and Sparks, and out to Spanish Springs, Verdi, and Sun Valley. See every community we cover. The correction happens in your garage or driveway, so the vehicle never sits at a shop for days.

Do not hide the damage under a temporary wax. Erase it.
